我国最大的佛像是中原大佛（位于河南鲁山佛泉寺）也是当今全世界最高的佛教造像，系释迦牟尼立像，又名鲁山大佛、尧山大佛，高208米，2007年建造完成。

最大的古代佛像是乐山大佛（位于四川乐山）：是中国最大的摩崖石刻造像、 系释迦牟尼坐像，又名凌云大佛，高71米，开凿于唐代开元元年（713），完成于贞元十九年（803），历时约90年。

东方江苏的灵山大佛，释迦牟尼立像，青铜材料，通高88米，重700吨，公元1997年建成。灵山大佛坐落于无锡马山秦履峰南侧的小灵山地区，大佛所在位置系唐玄奘命名的小灵山，故名灵山大佛。灵山大佛通高88米，佛体79米，莲花瓣9米。大佛慈颜微笑，广视众生，右手"施无畏印"代表除却痛苦，左手"与愿印"代表给予快乐，均为祝福之相。

Lingshan Grand Buddha, the statue of Sakyamuni, of Eastern Jiangsu Province, is made of bronze material. It is 88 meters high and weighs 700 tons. It was built in 1997. Lingshan Great Buddha is located in Xiaoling Mountain area on the south side of Qinlu Peak in Wuxi Ma Mountain. The location of Lingshan Great Buddha is Xiaoling Mountain named by Tang Xuanzang, so it is named Lingshan Great Buddha. Lingshan Great Buddha is 88 meters high, 79 meters Buddha body and 9 meters lotus petals. The Buddha's benevolent face smiles, widespread viewing of all living beings, the right hand "Shi fearless seal" represents the elimination of pain, and the left hand "and wish seal" represents the joy, which are the phases of blessing.

西方四川的乐山大佛，弥勒佛座像，石料，通高71米，公元803年建成。位于峨眉山东31公里的乐山市，依凌云山栖霞峰临江峭壁凿造而成，又名凌云大佛，开凿于唐玄宗开元初年（公元713年）。历时90年大佛终告完成。佛像高71米，佛头长14.7米，头宽10米，肩宽24米，耳长7米，耳内可并立二人，脚背宽8.5米，可坐百余人，素有“佛是一座山，山是一尊佛”之称。

The Leshan Buddha, the statue of Maitreya Buddha, in Western Sichuan, is 71 meters high and built in 803 A.D. Located in Leshan City, 31 kilometers east of Emei Mountains, it was chiseled from the cliff of Qixia Peak Linjiang, Yiling Yunshan Mountains, also known as Lingyun Buddha. 南方香港的天坛大佛，释迦牟尼座像，锡青铜材料，通高26.4米，重220吨，公元1993年建成。天坛大佛座落在香港大屿山海拔520米的昂平，是香港受欢迎的旅游景点之一。是全球最大的青铜座佛。佛像坐在268级的石阶上，端坐的佛像庄严肃穆，无论远观近看，都予人宁静祥和的感觉。美国权威地理旅游杂志《国家地理旅行者》极力推荐天坛大佛这项名胜。

北方吉林的金鼎大佛坐像落座吉林省敦化市六鼎山正觉寺后山顶端，坐北面南，青铜材料，像体总高48米，莲花直径32米，莲花座高9.6米，佛身38.4米，是世界最大的释迦牟尼佛坐像。大佛基座内设有真佛化身之“万佛殿”、住世护法之“五百罗汉堂”及终归极乐之“往生堂”。

The statue of Jinding Buddha in northern Jilin is located at the top of the back hill of Zhengjue Temple in Liudingshan, Dunhua City, Jilin Province. It is situated in the north and south. It is made of bronze material. The statue is 48 meters tall, 32 meters in diameter, 9.6 meters tall and 38.4 meters tall. It is the largest sitting statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the world. On the base of the Great Buddha, there are "Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall" incarnated by the true Buddha, the "Hall of Five Hundred Arhats" inhabited by the Dharma and the "Hall of Past Life" of ultimate bliss.

中原河南的鲁山大佛，青铜材料，卢舍那大佛，通高168米，相称于50层楼高，重6400吨，公元2005年建成。 位于河南省平顶山市鲁山县上汤赵村佛泉寺内，总高168米（大佛身高108米，莲花宝座高20米，金刚座高25米，须弥座高15米），是全世界最大的佛像，称为“佛山金佛”。其造型庄重、飘逸、气魄独特，真乃“当惊世界殊”。造型完整、有明确的说法手印的铜铸“佛山金佛”应运而生，成为新的中方佛。

Lushan Grand Buddha, bronze material, Lushena Grand Buddha in Henan Province of Central Plains, with a height of 168 meters, is 50 stories tall and weighs 6400 tons. It was built in 2005. Located in Foquan Temple, Shangtang Zhaocun, Lushan County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, with a total height of 168 meters (108 meters tall, 20 meters tall lotus throne, 25 meters tall Diamond throne and 15 meters tall Xumi throne), it is the largest Buddha statue in the world, known as "Foshan Golden Buddha". Its solemn shape, elegant, unique boldness, is really "shocked the world special". The bronze-cast "Foshan Golden Buddha" with complete shape and clear fingerprints emerged as the times require and became a new Chinese Buddha.
